The oil-soluble CdSe/ZnS quantum dot products produced by our company are based on CdSe as the core, ZnS as the shell layer, and core/shell type fluorescent nanomaterials coated with hydrophobic ligands. The average quantum yield is 70%. Avoid direct sunlight, store in a sealed dark place at 4°C, and can customize products from grams to kilograms for customers. This product has the characteristics of uniform particle size, wide absorption spectrum, narrow and symmetrical emission spectrum, and high and stable fluorescence intensity. It is especially suitable for the green and red components of quantum dot light-emitting diodes (QLEDs). 1. Maximum emission wavelength: the emission wavelength corresponding to the strongest position of the oil-soluble quantum dots. The main reason for the ±10 nm emission tolerance is the difference between product preparation batches and the difference of detection equipment.

In other words, for the same color gamut performance, the quantum dot display requires less energy . QLED: The future star in the display field

Development and opportunities

The development background of our company's quantum dot project

The quantum dot project was launched in September 2017. The technical team of Jiangsu Huada Group Company inspected foreign advanced quantum dot technology companies and markets, and cooperated with corresponding foreign technical teams to introduce them to jointly develop industrialized mass production processes. With the cooperation and promotion of the technical teams of both parties, the project achieved a phased success in May 2018. In the same month, Changzhou Huada Nano Material Technology Co., Ltd. was established for this purpose. As of January 2020, with the goal of stably supplying qualified samples, our company has now fully developed a stable continuous experimental process route for two kinds of quantum dots (GQD, RQD). From the adaptive optimization and adjustment of equipment, formula, process, etc., a stable domestic raw material supply channel is basically determined.

Project performance advantages:

At present, most of the quantum dot synthesis processes of domestic and foreign companies are restricted by the reaction mechanism and process conditions. Their quantum dot process can only synthesize small-yield quantum dots by batch reactor reaction. The output is low and there is a certain degree of volatility in product quality from batch to batch. Moreover, the raw materials they use are more refined and expensive, the domestic purchase price is expensive and there are still some raw materials that have no purchase channels. So compared to this, our current results appear to have more advantages:

1. The raw materials are basically industrialized raw materials, which are relatively cheap and easy to obtain, and the supply is stable. At the same time, an agreement has been reached with some raw material suppliers to jointly develop higher-quality raw materials.

2. The success of the continuous reaction process directly solves the problem that cannot be scaled up due to the limitation of the mechanism, improves the output per unit time, and the waste liquid produced is far lower than other companies' production processes.

3. Respond to the working condition of 300℃, precise control of the mixing time of each material, batch method production is prone to errors, resulting in poor repeatability. Our current process response basically effectively reduces the above risks and has strong stability.

4. The quantum dot products produced by our company's unique reaction process have stable quality and higher quality than the current quantum dot products in the European and American markets.

The above advantages have formed a unique quantum dot synthesis process and raw material formula of our company, forming a unique technical barrier.

 

Project Outlook

At present, the company's quantum dot project is basically feasible for large-scale production after technical evaluation. Our company currently plans to put into production a production project with an annual output of 60kg (red quantum dot solid 30kg, green quantum dot solid 30kg). The estimated annual output value is 600 million yuan, and the profits and taxes are 300 million yuan. Because it is a continuous reaction process, the project under the annual production volume requires a small area for the workshop, a small operating unit, and a high safety factor. The workshop production site requires only an area of 100-120 square meters, plus the warehouse, DCS operation room, raw material storage tank area and some supporting engineering facilities, the total production area only needs to cover an area of 500-600 square meters, which is about one acre of land.
